Among the various categories of cryptocurrencies—and while I imagine this isn't an exhaustive list—there are figures such as Mr. Roger and Mr. Aaron...
In reality, there are quite a few—ranging from enigmatic international groups to certain individuals overseas—who, for some reason, make extensive use of imagery from *One Piece*. This includes figures such as "Arlong" (linked to theories of government assassination) and "Roger" (regarded as a pioneer among treasure-hunting firms in the BTC space). While it would be fine if this frequent appropriation of characters from the Japanese anime *One Piece* had no connection to the malicious scandals that caused such an uproar in Japan in the past, the situation nonetheless gives rise to certain anxieties regarding the international sphere.
For the pioneers of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency back in those days, the primary cultural touchstones seem to have been *One Piece* and, perhaps, *Pirates of the Caribbean*. However—much like in the movies—one hopes that these individuals are by no means "villains" in the true sense of the word; this is certainly the hope held by those in Europe.
Although I was unable to participate in the scene back in 2008, I recall listening avidly to music themed around pirates and Vikings during that period. It also seemed that some of the key figures involved had connections to Viking culture. I remain unsure whether this ties back to *One Piece*; regarding the past incidents in Japan involving *One Piece* and organized crime syndicates, I lack any acquaintances knowledgeable in that specific area, leaving the details opaque and unclear—though, naturally, one must exercise caution regarding any connections to Japanese organized crime. Back when I used to listen to the *Pirates of the Caribbean* soundtrack—a popular film overseas—in my room, I wasn't in a position to get involved in the crypto space; however...
It now appears that there may be a potential link—serving as one specific thematic thread—connecting back to certain segments of the cryptocurrency field. While I certainly have no desire to engage in any "malicious pirate games," if a new, next-generation cryptocurrency were to emerge today—one of the highest caliber, on par with the likes of BTC—I would certainly be interested in acquiring it, much as I would have back then.
After all, I used to read *One Piece* quite a long time ago, back when it was running in *Weekly Shonen Jump*.
Although pirate culture itself isn't exactly viewed favorably in the modern era, I’ve always loved the music associated with it—it feels truly epic and grand.
While this doesn't necessarily apply to me personally, when observing figures in the cryptocurrency development sphere—such as the aforementioned "Arlong" and "Roger"—one can discern a distinct thematic thread within the "second-generation" crypto landscape: a convergence of real-life individuals, historical context, and the world of cryptocurrency.
